Back from NYC

We just came back from NYC. We meaning me, Nancy and the 4 kids. I love that city. I could live there. The kids however could not unless they grow up. I am beginning to wonder if that will happen.
The food was fantastic-the bagels, the pizza , the Chinese, and all the different nationalities.
The subway was cool. In there I read a sign that said that 173 nationalities walk the streets of NYC daily. That is why it is so diverse and so interesting.
Central Park was and is I believe the most beautiful park I have ever seen and huge. Of course the kids only appreciated the playgrounds but thank God for them. There are about 20 but we hit about 4 of them.
Jon my brother was very patient and very kind to house us all in his small but very nice condo and to take us around the city. (It is THE CITY by the way).
We did see the American Girl store which was really nice. FAO Schwartz was disappointing though.
I hope I can go back soon but without the kids. Dave and I would be nicest.

Tooth Fairy

Jonny lost another tooth. He has to get his corn cut off and won't eat apples. He still has his front teeth to lose.
Amber and Ashley are my two good friends. They were in a show last week singing in the front row.

Official Parking

During this past year, I trained as a swim official (stroke and turn judge) and recently completed the training. During last Sunday's swim meet, Elizabeth saw a sign in the parking lot that said "Official Parking". She asked, "Mom, you're an official. How come we didn't park there." We had to explain that it was for the park and rec officials, not the swim officials.

Bike Helmet

Yesterday I got a new bike helmet. It has fire on it. I wear it everyday. I wore it to Connor's house yesterday. He thought my helmet was cool. - Jonny

Wisconsin Small Town Polka

Driving back from South Dakota last year, we were passing through Wisconsin. While flipping radio stations, the Wisconsin Small Town Polka was on. Growing up in the mid-west, it brought back some memories.
